Alufuq Car Rental — booking storefront & staff panel

01The brief

• Build a rental website on top of an existing multi-company car-rental backend, choosing carefully which features customers should see.
• Use the company's real content, from its logo and cars to its branches and copy, rather than stock material.
• Make the Arabic-calligraphy logo the heart of the design: the real logo, set on a faded, interlocking calligraphy wallpaper.

02What we built

• A home page with a calligraphy hero, quick booking search, fleet preview with “from” prices per category, services, branches and booking tracking.
• Fleet search by brand, model, category, dates and branch, and detailed car pages with daily, weekly and monthly prices.
• A one-page booking flow: dates and branches, protection plan, paid extras and driver details, with a live price summary that includes one-way fees and 15% VAT.
• Customer accounts, “My bookings”, reviews for completed rentals, and guest booking look-up and cancellation.
• A staff panel to approve or reject requests, move reservations from confirmed to completed, manage cars and read customer messages. Each menu appears only for staff with the right permission.

03Design highlights

• A palette taken straight from the logo: charcoal, brushed silver and red.
• A calligraphy wallpaper made specifically for this project, not a stock pattern.
• Arabic type with character, using Aref Ruqaa for the calligraphic headline, El Messiri for display text and IBM Plex Sans Arabic for everyday text.
• Arabic by default and fully mirrored for right-to-left, including the staff panel, with an English toggle in the header.

04Technology

Next.js and React with Tailwind CSS, with all data calls made server-side to a multi-company .NET rental API and secure cookie-based sign-in.
